Ensures a reliable gas supply while minimizing costs by executing intraday gas trades based on approved strategies. Responsibilities include forecasting gas needs, optimizing assets, and adhering to regulatory and reliability standards. Balances a reliable gas supply with the lowest possible costs for APS's natural gas-fired plants. Forecasts gas needs, executing intraday trades, developing new trading strategies under supervision, balancing supply and demand of power and gas, collaborating with other departments, and training junior traders.
